Full Tilt Berger Cookie Stout w/ Shredded Coconut and Chocolate Chips

The Berger Cookie Stout was bad once warmed but still wasn’t the most flavorful beer so I decided to add flavor. The only ingredients I had lying around the house were shredded coconut and chocolate chips.

The chocolate chips enhanced the chocolate in the beer. Surprisingly since it floated to the top of the Randall Jr. was the coconut. It added a hint of coconut in the background that made the beer taste fuller. I only left the ingredients in for about 20 minutes, it wouldn’t have hurt to keep it in a little longer.

Raison D’Etre (Growler) with dried cherries and raisins

My first use of the Randall Jr was with the remainder of the growler of Raison D’Etre. I mixed in diced golden raisins and dried bing cherries.

At first I didn’t think I tasted anything but the more I drank I tasted the cherries. I made a second batch that I let sit longer. This time I really got the cherries and the sugar from both the raisins and cherries made a sweeter beer.

I drank the last little bit of the growler to taste the difference. This is when I could really taste how much sweeter the beer was infused with the cherries and raisins.
